How verification works

ProvenPlant exists to answer one question: who actually manufactures this ingredient in China and can sell it to a US buyer?

Product-level, not a supplier badge

A company may manufacture hemp protein and trade pea protein. Verification lives on the company–product relationship, never as “Company X = Manufacturer.” The site says “Company X manufactures hemp protein,” “Company X likely manufactures hemp oil,” or “Company X sells pea protein — manufacturing unverified.”

What the evidence means

• SAMR records support legal identity, facilities, and production licenses.
• CFAA and SourceIngredients help connect a company to a specific ingredient.
• Official websites are company-provided claims, labeled as such.
• A SAMR license does not prove the company manufactures every product it sells.

Confidence

High confidence requires evidence linking the company to the exact ingredient, a manufacturing facility, and an authoritative business or production record. Medium and low mean the chain is incomplete. The underlying sources are always visible.

What ProvenPlant is not

Not a marketplace, not a ranking, not FDA approval, and not a factory inspection. Where a fact is missing, the interface says Unknown.
